Influences range from a lot of things. Ben was into a lot of metal at first with the whole KoRn, SoulFly, Incubus, Primus, Henry Rollins, Rage Against The Machine type deal when he was in high school.
He was always looking for the hardest music he could find with some dope lyrics...
He was introduced to the hardcore scene around 2000 when a friend of him invited him to a rave. His sister was also part of a party crew by the name of “Realm of Reality” and he had access to all these cool old school remixes that she would get from her friend and what caught his ear was the Hardcore.
Just the consistency of this pounding bass repeating in a 4x4 pattern was just so amusing.
He started making some music with a program named Tuareg and then with Fruity Loops which really decided him to become a Hardcore producer.
A friend of him gave him the name of Producer Snafu (“snafu” was a word used during WW II that means “Situation Normal All Fucked Up”).
He started with Hardcore & Drum’n’bass and then moved on to Breakcore and got sad with Chip Tunes and IDM.
He like to experiment and have fun. The music he made has always been for him, and his friends, but mainly for himself to keep his sanity.
Now he uses Fruity Loops 5 and Cool Edit + many VST’s and VSTI’s.
